During the Christmas season Terina and I took a few days off to spend time with our family in Kentucky. While there we attended a service at the church I grew up in, and spent a few years with serving on staff. At the beginning of the worship service the pastor led the congregation in this declaration. I later found out that it was something they do every service. Reading the powerful words from the screen and hearing the unity in the voices as the people “declared” the goodness of God over their lives, jobs, finances, and spirits, was moving to say the least. Terina leaned over to me and whispered, “We gotta get a copy of that for FWC.”
So, in the days that followed I caught up with the pastor, (wasn’t hard to do since he is Terina’s uncle) and asked if I could get a copy. Within minutes it found its way to my inbox. With his permission, I took it, tweaked it a little bit to fit our atmosphere, culture, and need. Now we “declare” it every Sunday morning at the beginning of our service.
I encourage everyone to print a copy of this declaration out. Put it on your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, by the coffee pot. Somewhere you’ll see it every morning as you start your day. Declare it! Say it! Sing it! Pray it! Believe it! Start your day off expecting the Goodness and Greatness of God to move in you personally.
As we gather together today to worship Jesus. We are believing our Lord for a supernatural release of God’s favor over every area of our lives. Jobs, and better jobs, checks in the mail, inheritances, secure investments, scholarships, creative ideas, and cancellation of debt.
We are believing for the healing of our spirit, soul and body. Deliverance for the captive. Salvation for the lost. And, and outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
We are blessed! And we will be a blessing to others in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!
