What We Believe
The following Tenets of Faith provide a foundation of Biblical truth upon which the members of this body of believers can build their Christian life.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21
We believe in the Holy Trinity, God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Ghost. And that God is the creator of Heaven and earth and all that is therein.
Matthew 28:19, 2 Cor. 13:14, Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-3
We believe that Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, was born of the virgin Mary, conceived by the Holy Ghost, and that He, being in the flesh, did dwell among us as sinless humanity.
John 3:16, Matthew 1:20-23, Luke 1:35, John 1:14, John 8:46
We believe that the Holy Ghost is a distinct Divine Person, co-equal with the Father and the Son. We recognize His work as Convictor, Teacher, Leader, Comforter, and Enabler. We believe that He regenerates and performs the miracle of the new birth; that He will resurrect the righteous dead and will rapture away the Bride which is the true Church of Christ.
John 16:7-15, Acts 13:2, Titus 3:5, Eph. 2:1, Rom. 8:11, 1 Cor. 15:35-43, 1 Thes. 4:13-18
We believe that man is totally depraved by nature, lost and away from God as a result of the fall of Adam.
Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:2-16, Eph. 2:13
We believe in the substitutionary death and bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He was crucified on Calvary’s cross, was in the grave three days, that God raised Him from the dead and that He now sits on the right hand of God the Father as the only mediator between God and man, interceding for the Saints. We believe in the resurrection and future immortality of the human body.
Romans 4:2-5, 1 Peter 2:24, Luke 24:39, Matthew 27:38-50, Phil 2:8, Luke 9:22, John 2:19, Matthew 12:40, Matthew 28:6, Hebrews 12:2, 1 Tim 2:5, Hebrews 7:25, 1 Cor. 15:20-23, 1 John 3:2
We believe that soul salvation comes only by regeneration through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son. We believe there is salvation only in Jesus Christ. We believe in everlasting life for all believers on the Lord Jesus Christ, and in endless punishment for all who reject Him as Savior. We believe in a literal and eternal hell of everlasting fire and torment.
John 3:3-7, Galatians 6:15, 1 John 1:7-9, John 10:9, Acts 4:12, Daniel 12:1-2, Matthew 25:46, Mark 9:43-48, Psalms 9:17, Jude 13, Rev. 14:10
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: that it is a command to all, and is, therefore, an act of obedience and should be observed.
Mark 16:16, Acts 2:28, Matthew 28:19
We believe that the baptism with the Holy Ghost is a definite and crucial experience in addition to, and after the new birth, and is a promise of the Father to each and every believer on the Lord Jesus Christ, to endue us with power from on high for His service, to lead and guide us, to transform our lives into His likeness, and to seal us unto the day of redemption. We forbid teaching against tongues as the first evidence of having received the gift of the Holy Ghost. We prefer leaving this solely to the Lord Himself. We forbid teaching against the gift of tongues. We do not teach the believer to seek “tongues”, but to seek Him and ask for the gift and praise Him for it until he or she is filled, since we believe the Holy Spirit is a promise to all believers.
Acts 1:8, 2 Cor. 3:13-18, Eph. 4:30, Luke 11:5-13, Acts 2:39
We believe that Christ is the head over all things and that the Church is His Body. We believe that the duty of the Church is to give the Gospel to all men.
Eph. 1:22-23, Col 1:18-19, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8
We believe in practical holiness and the maintenance of good works, in putting off the old man with his deeds, such as our old habits and fleshly indulgences, and in putting on the new man, who, after God, is created in righteousness and true holiness.
2 Cor. 6:14-18, 7:1, Romans 8:13, 1 Cor. 6:19-20, 1 John 2:15-17, Eph. 4:24, Gal 3:27, James 5:13-16, Mark 16:18
We believe in Divine healing of the body as a provision in the Savior’s atoning sacrifice on Calvary’s cross for humanity, and that God’s plan for healing for the Church is always through this provision, the laying on of hands of the believers, and for the elders to anoint with oil in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, praying the prayer of faith.
Isa. 53:4-5, Matt. 8:16-17, James 5:13-16, Mark 16:18
We believe in the literal second and personal, premillennial and eminent coming of Christ for His true Spirit-filled Church, and that He will rapture away His Church to be with Him to escape the tribulation period that will come upon the Earth.
Acts 1:10-11, John 14:1-3, 2 Thes. 4:16-17, Mark 13:34-37, Luke 21:36, Matthew 25:1-10
We believe that the Holy Ghost will be taken off the Earth at the time of the Rapture of the Saints, that the Holy Spirit must be taken out of the way before the spirit of Anti-Christ can rule this world, as God’s spirit is greater than the spirit of Anti-Christ and will prevent the coming of the Man of Sin into power as long as He, the Holy Spirit, is on this Earth. After the Holy Ghost is gone, the restraining power of the Holy Spirit will be lifted and will permit the Anti-Christ to come.
2 Thes. 2:6-12, Revelations 13
We recognize the apostasy of the present age which will culminate in the manifestation of the Man of sin, the Anti-Christ, and the tribulation period that will last seven years.
1 Tim. 4:1-3, 2 Tim. 4:1-4, 2 Thes. 2:3-10, Rev. Chapters 17 & 18
We believe in the literal and personal return of Christ with His Bride, the true Church, to the Earth for His millennial reign of peace and righteousness.
Dan. 7:13-15, Rev. 20:1-3, 2 Tim. 4:1, 2 Thes. 2:3-10, Zec. 14:5
We believe that Satan is a real person and has a personality.
Job 1:8, 12, 2 Cor. 11:13-15, Rev. 20:1-3, 7, 10
We believe in the binding of Satan in the bottomless pit at the coming of Christ to Earth until the millennial reign of Christ is over, where he (Satan) will not tempt the people of the Earth during Christ’s reign of peace.
Rev. 20:1-3
We believe that Satan will be loosed for a season after which he will be finally and eternally banished from the Earth and Heaven, being cast into the lake of fire. That Earth and Hell and all the wicked, after the great White Throne Judgment, shall likewise be banished from Earth forever into everlasting punishment.
Rev. 20:7-15
We believe in the bringing in of a new Earth, a new Heaven, as the final state, and that all things being new will be in the state of perfection. Amen.
Isa. 65:22, 66:22, 2 Peter 3:13, Rev. 21:1-22
